Sacred Moments
How the Ceremony
Unfolds
The ceremony opens with an invocation to Lord Ganesha — remover of obstacles — through chanting of sacred mantras, lighting of the diyas, and offering of flowers and sweets.
A pacification ritual for the nine planetary deities to bless the child with health, wisdom, and prosperity throughout their lifetime.
The central, most sacred moment: the child is seated on their mother's or grandfather's lap, and the first spoonful of sweet payesh or khichdi is offered with blessings and mantras.
Elders and family members bless the child with gifts, gold, and heartfelt words. The child is presented to the sun and earth for the first time.
A traditional Bengali feast follows — rice, dal, five vegetables, fish, and payesh — shared joyfully with all guests while the child rests in the warmth of family.

Words of Joy
Every single detail was handled with such grace and care. Our daughter's Annaprashan was more beautiful than we had dared to imagine — the pandit was warm and knowledgeable, the décor was breathtaking, and the photographs made us cry all over again.
We booked the Gold package and received Platinum service. The coordinator anticipated every need before we even voiced it. Our families still talk about that day. We cannot recommend them enough.
