Set on the bank of the Saptamukhi estuary and surrounded by thick mangrove forest, Bhagabatpur Kumir Prakalpa is a breeding and conservation center for estuarine crocodiles. You can see crocodiles of every age here, from tiny hatchlings to fully grown adults, and learn how they are raised and then released back into the wild. The center also works to conserve the rare Batagur baska river tortoise.

The trip is reached by boat from the Namkhana side, and the ride through the estuary and mangroves is a lovely part of the day. With a bit of luck, you may spot dolphins and plenty of birds along the way. Because access is by water, we help you arrange the boat and the timing.
